PROPERTIES

The size of the bags is not set as standard but can be customised for our customers - also as a 3in1 solution incl. customised desiccant and moisture indicator. Style and size are variable, e.g. flat bags, 3D bags, etc. Production is carried out in strict compliance with the standards: GB/T 1037-1988, GB/T 1038-2000, MIL-B-81705-C.

Which desiccant is best suited to my application?

How does silica gel work as a desiccant?

Silica gel consists of porous silicon dioxide that absorbs moisture from the ambient air. It can bind up to 40 % of its own weight in water and is available in various grain sizes and with a colour indicator.

Are the desiccants reusable?
Silica gel, for example, can be regenerated by heating at 100-120 °C and reused. Bentonite and container desiccants, on the other hand, are designed for single use.
How long do desiccants last?
The shelf life depends on the packaging and the storage conditions. In airtight containers, desiccants remain effective for several years.

How do I calculate the amount of desiccant I need?
The required quantity depends on the packaging size, the product's sensitivity to moisture and the ambient conditions. We will be happy to advise you individually.

How should desiccants be stored?
